Have you thought that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will take
your job? If yes, you were absolutely right, as Forbes’s current report says that
in 2026, Amazon, Nike, and Home Depot fired more than 17,575 workers in one
week because of AI. Although AI is taking our jobs, in this case we will try to
find out the 5 jobs AI will not take.
Today’s world is on the move, which causes abrupt changes
every second of the day. There were big changes in the world’s history, such as
the discovery of fire, which greatly altered human life from hunting to living
in communities. Quitting hunting and starting to live together created several
jobs at that moment, such as agriculture, selling goods and services, and
teaching.
In the early 19th century, the computer was invented, and
everything seemed overwhelming, since several jobs related to this technology,
like programming, video editing, remote jobs, etc., were invented. But
currently, developed technology is messing things up, where thousands of people
are being laid off every second, since today’s technology (AI) can program,
make the best videos like those of Hollywood, and teach, etc.
But the question is whether Artificial Intelligence will completely replace human beings. The answer is “NO.”
The 5 Jobs AI Will Not Replace
1. Skilled Trades (Electricians, Plumbers, Mechanics, and Carpenters)
These are some of the jobs that require human expertise. It
is unbelievable to see a robot crawling under a sink, fixing the wire of a
panel in a confined attic area, or diagnosing a cracked door and trying to fix
it.
Why are these jobs for humans, not AI?
These jobs are hard to automate (automation-resistant). UK
reports say that the possibility of automating electricity work is 16%.
However, AI can be used as an assistant by upgrading and speeding up the work,
etc.

2. Medical Specialists and Surgeons
Have you ever entered an operating room? If yes, you have
seen how every decision matters. This means one mistake can save a person or
put someone to death. Therefore, this job requires strong judgment and high
decision-making skills.
Why are these jobs for humans, not AI?
Medical specialists are required to have the following
skills:
- Mentoring
skills
- Instant
adaptation
- Coordinated
teamwork
- Ethical
judgment

3. Community Builders, Mediators, and Organizers
Actually, a community does not depend on algorithms; it is
based on trust instead. Therefore, it can be impossible for AI to build trust
at this point as human beings do.
Why are these jobs for humans, not AI?
These jobs require emotions, unspoken history, shared
identity, trust networks, relational legitimacy, and closeness to the community.

4. Early Childhood Educators
One of the jobs that requires warmth, affection, and social
modeling is done by early childhood educators. Imagine two learners having a
conflict; this will require someone to guide them through it, and AI won’t know
when the children have conflicted so as to guide them.

5. Psychotherapists, Counselors, and Social Workers
This job is safe from AI because the best therapy comes from
the connection built between people, not just an automated one.
Why are these jobs for humans, not AI?
Psychotherapists base their work on trust, empathy, careful
listening, and other affection-related factors. AI cannot understand non-verbal
cues, meaningful silence, or human tiredness.
