Position Details

- Fleet: Boeing 737 (B737), Airbus A330, and De Havilland Dash 8 Q400
- Provide emergency evacuation if necessary; Emergency evacuation if needed;
Job Purpose
Successful candidate will be hired by RwandAir management, as a Pilot-in-Command (Captain) on the Boeing 737/Airbus 330 or Dash 8 Q400 fleet. The Captain shall ensure that assigned flights are operated with the utmost safety, efficiency, and compliance with all the law and with the highest professional standards and that the safety of the passengers is paramount and the operations are carried out with the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- As Captain (PIC) you will:
- To ensure adherence to the Rwandan and international aviation rules and best practices.
- Keep up to date with the RwandAir Operations Manual.
- Ensure safety, comfort and welfare of crew and passenger.
- Serve the senior company official when operating off-site from the home base in Rwanda.
- Handle day-to-day paperwork and logistics for the operation, as needed.
- Maintain the maximum level of crew discipline, professionalism and appearance.
- Be able to react to emergencies appropriately, and report incidents to the appropriate aviation authorities.
- Report accidents, incidents, hazards and operational occurrences as per regulation.
- Encourage and uphold a culture of safety through adherence to safety protocols and reporting issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Essential Requirements
- Airlines Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by the ICAO, EASA or FAA.
- Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Valid endorsement as a radio telephonist or Radio Telephony License.
- Current Type Rating in one of the following:
- Boeing 737
- Airbus A330
- Dash 8 Q400
- B2 or above in English.
- Zero history of accidents and serious incidents due to pilot negligence.
- At least 5,000 flight hours.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours experience as Pilot in Command (PIC) on the specific aircraft type.
