Catholic University of Rwanda in collaboration with Ministry of Health in the framework of 4X4 Strategy is excited to announce a funded scholarship opportunity for Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences.
Application Period: From 6th - 12th March 2026
Eligibility Criteria:
Completed general secondary education with one of the
following principal subjects: Physics-Chemistry-Biology,
Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology, Biology-Chemistry-Geography and Associate
Nursing Programs.
Admission Test and Selection process:
Candidates who meet minimum admission requirements as per
HEC as well as institutional requirements will sit for an admission test
scheduled on 16th and 17th March 2026. Final selection of the
scholarship beneficiaries will be based on the admission test score.

Note:
- Final
selected students to benefit the scholarships will sign a contract
agreement with MoH to ensure their absorption into the health system after
their graduation of which they will be required to serve for a designated
period of time.
- Students
currently receiving another scholarship funded by the Government or its
partners, or those who have graduated from other university-level
programs, are not eligible to apply. Any violation of these application
requirements will result in immediate disqualification upon discovery,
with potential additional sanctions depending on the level of the
violation.

Level) awarded by the Rwanda Education Board (REB) or an Equivalence Rating of
Certificate delivered by REB/NESA for international applicants.

Before 2023-2024 : At least two principal passes in
relevant area(s)
2023-2024 & Later : Minimum 50% average pass

Entry to specific programs requires relevant background and
key subjects studied at secondary school level.
